Felt toy horse

Today I am showing you my new handmade felt horse. This time it is created for children, actually it is made almost the same way as other of my horses only this has different main and tail, it has no wires in his legs and it is decorated with yarn braid and has a cute bow on his tail. The horse has his own bridle, too.

My felt horses and real horses

Usually when I make my felt model horses, first I found a picture which I will use to make a pattern. Sometimes I use only leg positions from that picture, but sometimes I try to make my model horse as much similar to the picture as I can. Here are some of my model horses that look a bit like those in pictures.

New felt model horses

Hello to everybody who follows my blog!

As I have a free time now, I am spending my time making felt horses or other handcrafts. At the beginning I made traditional size model horses, but then I decided I should try to make some classic size horses too, and i think that it is easier to make them more  realistic than the traditional size horses, so now I am going to make more dollhouse scale models. I have a plan to build a little stable for my horses (those who are made in dollhouse scale)  because I want to make better pictures to my model horses. For now I have only idea, but I think soon I will start to realize it and I hope soon I will be able to put some pictures of my work, and I will certainly shear my experience with my blog readers so maybe you can try to make a little horse stable for your children so that they can enjoy playing with there toy horses more.

Here are some pictures of my new models, I had some problems with camera that is why some of my pictures were in a bad quality and it was not possible to view the horses well. But now I got a camera and made some better pictures.

Grumpy cat and flower cat

Hello!

       At the beggining I thought that my Etsy shop will be only for my felt horses, but then I decided, that I will add some other items. Yesterday I made my first felt Grumpy cat pin and todday it is in my Etsy shop. Hope you will like it, because it wasn't easy to make it, because he has very angry face, I am used to make felt animals with smiley faces. And I added some other of my recently made little felt animals. Also soon there will be another cat brooch aveilable in my shop, but this won't be so grumpy, on the contrary it will be sweet and decorated with robbon flowers.

My first handmade horses

       My name is Sigita and today I am starting my blog. I come from Latvia it is a small country at The Baltic sea. I live in a small town Saldus. In English that would be translated as sweet  - like candies an sugar.

       I really like handcrafts and I love horses. I have some other hobbys too, actually they are very much of them, I dont even have enough time for them all, but I will tell about them some other time. In this blogg I will publish pictures of my newest works, tell something about how they ar meade, tell something more about my country - Latvia. How it is to live in Latvia, what kind of interesting things you can see and do in Latvia.

      I mainly make different kind of crafts from felt, yarn, crepe paper and other materials, but my favourite ithems to make ar my felt horses. Now they are available to buy in my new Etsy shop. I opened it only yesterday and I am waiting for my first buyer. Soon I will put there some other of my hancraft works.
